Hong Kong Harvestmen – Gotta Know Them All! Deep in the forest, there lives a mysterious group of animals that are often seen roaming around on the ground. They look like spiders, but they have weird long legs and only two eyes! These curious residents are known as harvestmen. Unlike their cousins within the larger group of Arachnida, harvestmen are not venomous, nor do they produce silk. They can be found throughout Hong Kong forests and their presence may reveal a lot about the general health of the ecosystem. In this workshop, we will learn all about these fascinating creatures and focus on the lesser-known field of taxonomy! Jointly organised with Lingnan University Science Unit |
