Lecture Series 2025
The remarkable contributions of Chinese scientists have been instrumental in driving significant advancements in scientific research and technological development that we are witnessing today. Since 2003, the Distinguished Chinese Scientists Lecture Series has been inviting Chinese scientists to deliver talks and share their knowledge. This year, renowned Chinese scientists will again share their research findings with the public and students at the Hong Kong Science Museum, to inspire young people to engage in scientific research and become the driving force behind future developments of science and technology.

Speaker: Prof. LIU Sheng (Professor of Wuhan University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences)

Topic: Hong Kong's Operational Robot in Chang'E 8 Lunar Exploration Mission
Speaker: Prof. YU Hongyu (Co-Director of the Hong Kong Robotics and Energy Centre, PI of the Chang'E-8 Hong Kong Operational Robot)
The lecture serise is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Science Museum, China Association for Science and Technology, Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre and the Education Bureau

The LCSD has all along promoted Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.
