During the Ming dynasty, Zheng He undertook seven voyages to the Western Seas, achieving a renowned maritime feat. During these seven long-distance journeys, his fleet passed through numerous places. Did you know that some of these places are home to rich and unique wildlife?
In this lecture, Mr. SEE Chun-lung, Gomen, the Marine Science Programme Manager at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, will take us on an Eco Tour that follows Zheng He's footsteps. Mr. See is an ecology educator and an award-winning photographer. He will retrace Zheng He's voyages to Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Kenya, and share with us the distinctive wildlife there from the perspectives of photography, ecology and conservation.
