Multiple Perspectives on Disaster Preparedness Other than severe weather, Hong Kong has small chance of facing natural disasters, such as large earthquakes. But the chance may be increased when we stay abroad. In this workshop, the audience will know more about typhoon and earthquake, how to cope with them and the importance of disaster preparedness through interactive games. It will enhance their knowledge and skills on the scope of community resilience and reduce the impacts of disasters on everyone.
Jointly organised with Community Resilience Service, Hong Kong Red Cross

Slope and Landslide Hong Kong is a city characterised by its hilly terrain and limited flat land, coupled with a remarkably high population density. Buildings and roads are constructed against the slopes, creating many steep slopes. However, during extreme weather such as heavy rain, there are risks of landslides that can threaten the lives of citizens. This workshop will help you gain a better understanding of the characteristics of slopes through demonstrations and explore prevention measures together.
