|2000||The Leisure and Cultural Services Department is set up to replace the Urban Council and the Regional Council to oversee the operation of the Hong Kong Science Museum and all the government museums, taking the development of Hong Kong's museums into a new era.|
We pledge to provide at least 500 exhibits in the Museum at all times, of which 70% are interactive exhibits (350 exhibits). We will keep at least 90% of interactive exhibits (315 exhibits) in working order.
Due to renovation work of new exhibition, the 2/F Exhibition Hall is temporarily closed from 21 Apr 2022. As such, we are unable to provide at least 500 exhibits. We apologise for any inconveniences this may have caused.
