Brand New 35th Anniversary Logo Embodies the Core Spirit of the Museum

35-Year Scientific Journey: Exciting Activities Rolling Out
(1) Hong Kong Science Museum 35th Anniversary Exhibition
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Hong Kong Science Museum, we have specially developed a commemorative exhibition themed "Enjoy Science, Infinite Fun", inviting visitors to step into a time tunnel and revisit this inspiring and joyful scientific journey. The exhibition traces the museum's developmental milestones, showcasing classic exhibitions and activities from past years, displaying the museum's first robot and unveiling the inner workings of the iconic centrepiece "Energy Machine". There will also be interviews with special guest sharing their precious memories intertwined with the museum, allowing visitors to experience the charm of science from diverse perspectives. Additionally, an AI interactive photo booth will be set up, blending innovative technology with playful experiences to capture your joyful moments of encountering science.

(2) Energy Machine Limited Enhanced Edition – 1 July Special
Standing 22 metres tall, the Energy Machine runs through four floors of exhibition halls at the Hong Kong Science Museum. Since the museum's opening, it has remained the most iconic giant installation on display. This April, we launched the Energy Machine 35th Anniversary Limited Enhanced Edition, and many visitors were left wanting more. To celebrate the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, we are once again partnering with the School of Innovation of The University of Hong Kong to present the one-day-only "Energy x Light" journey. Luminous orbs in orange, blue, green, and purple will once again roll and race along the 1.6-kilometre track, taking visitors on a wondrous journey that combines visuals and science, adding vibrant colour and a festive atmosphere to this special occasion!

(3) Wildlife Photographer of the Year
The exhibition showcases the award-winning photographs from photographers around the world in the 61st Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, organised by the Natural History Museum, London. Through breathtaking imagery and the compelling stories behind each subject, the exhibition reveals the extraordinary beauty of the natural world while inviting visitors to reflect on the intricate and fragile relationship between humanity and nature.

(4) SciPOP Science Demonstration Contest and Young Scientists Study Tour 2026
The SciPOP Science Demonstration Contest is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Education Bureau. It aims to encourage secondary school students to pursue science knowledge while improving their science communication skills and creative thinking. In addition, the public can gain insights into scientific concepts from engaging perspectives, contributing to the goal of popularising science. The theme for this year is "Artificial intelligence". Winning teams will have the opportunity to join the Young Scientists Study Tour 2026 to visit enterprises and institutes and meet the experts working in the fields of AI and advanced technology.

(5) JC CoolScience Carnival 2026
Looking for a fun and educational science experience? Join the JC CoolScience Carnival 2026 and step into the Future City Lab, where a series of innovative, hands-on science activities will spark children's curiosity, creativity and spirit of exploration!
During the Carnival, there will be exciting Theatre Science Shows, Science Demonstrations and five Hands-on Science Booths. Participants will explore natural phenomena such as wind, clouds and earthquakes, and take on the challenge of designing reliable vehicles for extreme weather conditions. Come and discover the endless possibilities of future cities!
