Children can now join our online science workshop at the comfort of their home. Through making scientific toys and conducting experiments, the programme aims to develop children's interest in science and enhance parent-child bonding.
"Dinosaur Eggs Encyclopedia" Online Workshop
How are dinosaur egg fossils formed? What are the differences between the eggs laid by different types of dinosaurs? Would you like to make your own "fizzy dinosaur eggs"? Join our online workshop and become a junior paleontologist to explore the rare treasures that have been dormant for hundred of millions of years!

Important Notes for Online Workshop
• Participants will need a PC / tablet / smartphone, and the following equipment:
- Headphone or speakers
- Microphone (used for communicating with instructor)
- Webcam (recommended equipment: may need to show progress of the work to instructor during the workshop)
• No recording of any kind is allowed without permission from the Museum.
• Before you join the online workshop by using Cisco Webex,
i) Please download the relevant software and check the system requirements (including the operating system and browsers) for PC / tablet / smartphone at:

ii) The number of participants is limited to 70 families. Each family can only use the same device to join the workshop.
• To ensure a smooth reception, please make sure that your device is connected to WiFi or has sufficient mobile data with a stable connection.
Materials and tools to be prepared
- 100g of baking soda
- Few drops of water-soluble pigment
- A tiny dinosaur toy
- A little water
- A piece of plastic wrap
- A mixing bowl
- A tablespoon
- Two pairs of gloves
- 10g of citric acid OR 100 ml of vinegar
- Plastic tablecloth
