To make our exhibition accessible to people with disabilities and special needs, the Hong Kong Science Museum and Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong will jointly present specially designed accessible guided tour cum workshop. Experienced tutors will provide audio description, sign-language interpretation, tangible representations or other accessible resources during the programme to guide people with different abilities to unravel the mystery of prehistoric world through eight iconic fossil skeletons.
The guided tour will introduce the latest scientific discoveries in palaeontology and allow participants to learn about the anatomy and living habits of the prehistoric species through a group of original fossils, and reconstructions of the world's largest predatory dinosaur and the world's largest flying creature. At the workshop, participants can also create their own paper fan in the shape of dinosaur eggs with dinosaur decorative patterns using dinosaur stamps or tactile stickers. Through this activity, participants can review the special body features of the dinosaurs, including the giant body of Diplodocus, or the paddle-like tail of Spinosaurus.
