Be Close to Jellyfish
Jellyfish are very attractive, especially when observed under special lighting. Some people misunderstand that jellyfish are poisonous and are therefore scared of them. In fact, jellyfish come in diverse body forms and species and some of them are not poisonous. This workshop will introduce the features of this unique living fossil as well as the skills required to breed and raise them. Audience will also have an opportunity to get up close to some jellyfish.

This workshop introduces the Chinese white dolphin in a lively manner, enabling the audience to explore their world and living habit and learn about the importance of protecting them through a reading of the children's picture book "Red Moon".

Plants employ many methods to disperse their seeds for reproduction. The seeds leave the plants and travel on a long journey to grow in distant locations. This workshop will introduce the various methods of seed dispersal, such as a free ride, temptation of food or the development of wings.

Not as lively and charming as the Chinese white dolphins, the mysterious finless porpoises in grey have been secluding themselves in Hong Kong waters. During the day, they are elusive and more active at night. In order to conserve the threatened finless porpoises, researchers investigate their occurrence and habits in different ways. Come and join the workshop to know our neighbors at sea through precious videos and hands-on origami!

The Borneo Rainforest is rich in animal and plant diversity such as orangutans, hornbills and pitcher plants, all of which have unique skills to survive in the rainforest environment. To shed light on the incredible biodiversity of Borneo's rainforest, the workshop will show how animals use camouflage and mimicry skills to hide themselves, and participants will also be able to observe pitcher plants and make a dipterocarp seed model on their own.
