Lectures
In Search of the Aurora in Finland
The thrill of witnessing the aurora is an unforgettable experience for many, but how do you track down an astronomical phenomenon as elusive as it is fascinating? Finland is one of the eight countries in the world where aurora can often be seen. Aurora puts on a magnificent show for many nights here, illuminating the starry sky.
In this lecture, the speaker will talk about the cause of aurora and how to observe it; she will also share her experience in finding the cities suitable for viewing aurora in Finland. Fun Science Experiments for Kids
Sports Science
Sports have an indispensable relationship with science. We can scientifically understand various body movements, improve ways of exercise, prevent sports injuries, enhance athletic performance, and ultimately achieve goal of surpassing one's limit. How can our reaction time be improved? What is the centre of gravity? In this workshop, we will train everyone's reaction and balance from a scientific perspective. You will make your own sledges and compete with each other, in order to learn how to optimise sledge structure to facilitate it to slide faster.
