Chemistry Why does it matter?

Students' Debate

That the study of Chemistry threatens humanity

The modern world would not be what it is today if it weren’t for the study of Chemistry. From the discovery of the electron to the invention of plastic, Chemistry either lurks in the shadows or is in plain sight of everything we do. But have these discoveries helped or hindered our very survival as a species? Will it be what saves us or the very thing that destroys us? Students will attempt to get to the bottom of these questions and more. Chemistry: Friend or Foe?
