Science Day Camp for Kids

The Science behind Sports

Sports have an indispensable relationship with science. We can scientifically understand various body movements, improve ways of exercise, prevent sports injuries, enhance athletic performance, and ultimately achieve goal of surpassing one's limit. How can we improve our reaction time? What is the center of gravity? Through these activities, participants will have an opportunity to train their reaction and balance, and explore how various physics principles are applied to sports.

Lunch options for participants:
1. bring your own lunch and dine in the classroom of the Hong Kong Science Museum
2. order lunch box and dine in the classroom of the Hong Kong Science Museum
3. dine out with parents or guardians

Venue: Laboratory, Hong Kong Science Museum
Language: Cantonese
Fee: $168 (This is the concessionary fee for students. Other discounts are not applicable.)
Age: 10-12 (Age is calculated as the date of the programme.)
Capacity: 20 per session (Allocated by drawing lots)
Deadline for application: 06-07-2020 (Monday)
Date of drawing lots: 09-07-2020 (Thursday) 10am at Classroom, G/F, Hong Kong Science Museum
Announcement of result: 13-07-2020 (Monday) Successful applicants will receive a confirmation letter with the instruction of payment.

Application forms can be obtained from the information counter or the website of Hong Kong Science Museum.

If applications are made by post, please ensure that the correct address is clearly printed or written on the envelope and sufficient postage is affixed before posting so as to avoid unsuccessful delivery of application. Any underpaid mail items will be returned or disposed of by the Hongkong Post.
