To commemorate Prof. Charles Kao's being awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physics for his groundbreaking achievements in fibre optics communication
To enhance the public's knowledge of fibre optics communication
To show the creativity and artistic talents of the public through this competition

The design of winning entries will have the opportunity to be considered by the Hongkong Post for the production of definitive stamp sheetlet to be issued in 2010.
