| The outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in Hong
Kong in 2003 had far-reaching consequences on the region's economy
and society. The epidemic gave prominence to the values of our community
and brought about citizens' consolidarity in the battle against
SARS. Produced jointly by the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences
and the Hong Kong Science Museum, the exhibition depicts and chronicles
the 2003 SARS episode in Hong Kong.
The exhibition covers major events during the epidemic through
panels, photos, newspaper clippings and video programmes. It showcases
a collection of artifacts related to the SARS episode. The exhibition
will be presented at the two Museums in sequence. Lectures on
SARS and public health are organised at the Museums to complement
the exhibition.
